We started MIT Social Entrepreneurship Alumni Group (SEAG) to bring together MIT alumni, affiliates and like-minded people to co-create a better world through social entrepreneurship and impact investing.
We define "social enterprises" as "organizations that address a basic unmet need or solve a social or environmental problem through a market-driven approach." We define "impact investments" as "investments made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate a measurable, beneficial social or environmental impact alongside a financial return". Frequently, these social and environmental benefits are aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Although SEAG is organized under MIT Alumni Association, this community platform is open to the general public. If you are interested in social entrepreneurship or impact investing, and would like to be a part of the community, please join.
You will have access to curated resources for social entrepreneurs and impact investors. You will be invited to participate in webinars and other events. You will also be able to join different groups within the community to have deeper interactions. Mostly, you will be a part of a community that is committed to build a better world.
